Hello, I'm Sean Lanier, PE, creator and owner of CECALC.com. I'd like to personally thank you for your interest in CECALC.com.

I created CECALC.com out of a frustration with the unavailability of design calculation references that were easily accessible, always available, written in layman's terms and covered all areas of my practice. As the practice of civil engineering continues to expand and grow, civil engineers are continually being tasked with the design of a broad range of projects covering multiple areas of civil engineering. It can become tedious and cumbersome to keep and maintain an up-to-date design calculation reference library and to stay abreast of the latest code changes. Through CECALC.com I have created a place where a civil engineer can go to find up-to-date design calculations referencing the latest codes and standards. It is easily accessible on the internet; available at any time, day or night and uses technology to make the difficult process of performing design calculations simple, quick and easy. At CECALC.com design aids are built into the calculations, the design processes are broken down step-by-step, and the calculations take the form of an online application. The advantage is that what previously might have taken hours or days to accomplish before, can now be done in minutes. No more time wasted trying to find reference material and then attempting to work complex design calculations by hand. Now you can begin the design, open up the design aid, if needed, and go through the step-by-step calculations to arrive at the finished design.
